In commemorating their root Guru’s great kindness, the venerable H.E. Yeshe Sangpo Rinpoche and H.E Khandro Pema Chodron built the Eight Stupas in front of the Short-term Retreat Center. For the purpose of benefiting all sentient beings, each of the Stupas is filled with mantras and precious holy substances and objects empowered by the root Gurus. The Stupas are adorned with the carvings of the following Buddhas: Vipashyin, Shikhinra, Visvabhu, Krakacchanda, Kanakamuni, Kashyapa and Buddha Shakyamuni. The Eight Stupas help eliminate all obscurations and accumulate wisdom and merits. Disciples who circumambulate the stupas will receive the true blessing and Siddhi from the Buddhas.
Rinpoche and Khandro also built the Five Prayers Wheels, each filled with five hundred million Varja Guru Mantras. During the break, disciples and practitioners circumambulate the stupas and turn the Prayers Wheels, so they can apply teachings to their every action, even during spare time. This is the evidence of Rinpoche and Khandro’s boundless kindness and compassions in finding ways and opportunities to help disciples practice Dharma.
